Being a toddler is a whole lot of crazy wrapped up into one tiny cute little monster. It’s pretty funny watching them explore and hearing the new sentences they they are learning to form. I cannot get enough of hanging out with my little man and being a part of this journey to kid-hood, but there are plenty of times when there are challenges. Especially having another baby to take care of, I need products in my life that assist in helping me as a mommy and Ryland as a toddler who has needs of his own. The Gerber Lil’ Beanies have been just that snack for us!
For me, the key to keeping things ‘clean” is making sure that everything has a home. Things WILL get messy – things WILL get unorganized – and you WILL look around and wonder how your house became such a disaster in such a short amount of time when you are a mama but I assure you, there are ways to make the clean up process a little smoother. Now I am no expert… In fact, many would probably say I am not even mediocre in the cleaning department, but that is why I find all the hacks so genius. Let’s work smarter, not harder.
Let me preface this by saying we are at the very beginning stages of potty training & these tips that I’m sharing are ones I am currently using with Ryland myself that I have gathered from friends, family, and other bloggers! We have jumped into the process, but because he is still young, we are taking it slow and trying to keep it light and fun – & hoping he catches on in the process. Everyone has their own way of potty training and different techniques work for different families! Here are a few tips that we have implemented in our home recently that you may want to try as well!
If living in leggings is wrong, I don’t want to be right! This may sound like a cute and funny quote, but I’m actually dead serious. Some may call is a problem or “lack of style” but I think some of the cutest outfits around sport some adorable leggings & so that is why I showing you some of my new favorites – because leggings don’t have to be those old worn out black yoga pants that you’ve been wearing for years – they can be the signature piece of your outfit!
There is a reason I try to only enter a superstore or a mall once a month & that is because I have two small children who very rarely let me get through a shopping trip without one of the following:
A giant tantrum
A diaper explosion
Falling asleep on the car ride there, leaving me having to wake up a sound baby thus having a not so sound baby
Needing to be carried
Wanting to pull just about everything off of every store shelf
Those who are parents know that being a mom is a full-time job. No matter how old your kids are, it seems that a mother’s work is never done. That’s why when it comes to fashion, it’s important to have some pieces that work overtime for you while staying stylish. Sometimes it feels like there is never enough time in the day, so having functional fashion that can easily transition to different parts of your day is essential.
Health, beauty, wellness! All things that we insist are vitally important to a mommy’s wellbeing, however many of us completely neglect it most of the time. I can tell you that I am completely guilty of telling everyone else in my life – including my kids & husband – about how important it is to take care of themselves but am I even living it out myself? This post is not only for all of you out there reading this but it’s for ME as well. Making wellness a priority in my own life is only going to make me a better wife and mom – and a happier & healthier one at that!
I’ll admit it, when I found out I was having a son with my first pregnancy I was overjoyed at the thought of all my future children having a big brother to look after them, but suddenly I realized… I have no idea how to raise a boy. I started to think about all the things that as a very girly girl, I never quite got into. Playing in the dirt… Collecting dinosaurs and trucks… Wrestling relentlessly…
