It’s back to school time! Many of us mamas are sending our child for the first time to their Pre-K class while some are releasing their child for the fifth time. No matter what stage of motherhood you are in at the moment, we all know the feelings that accompany a new school year. There are some of us, however, that have not yet sent our kids off to class, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not just as diligent about our morning routine. Getting my kids ready for the years ahead is important to me, so we have activities that we will be implementing this school year that are perfect for educating toddlers.
One of my all time favorite quotes is “Play Is The Work of the Child” because it could not be more full of truth. Watching my sons play and expand their imagination is simply beautiful and watching them learn and discover all through getting the uninhibited chance to play is something that I highly encourage in our home. Kids have an incredible way of figuring things out on their own and growing their little minds daily. Toys are a great way to facilitate that learning and fun, but not all toys are created equal when it comes to this.
I believe fall is the perfect time for exploring. The weather starts to get cooler, the leaves are changing, and its just the ideal time to be outdoors. I love the sense of adventure that my two son’s have in their little souls. They could pick up and play outside all day everyday if I let them. In fact, most days we have been! I always try to be in on the action and spend as much time as I can with them (you know, while they still want me around) so making sure that I am feeling up to the task is #1. As the seasons change, I have put together a toddler friendly fall themed scavenger hunt that kids of any age can enjoy!
“The happiest place on earth.” Without a shadow of a doubt I feel this way about Walt Disney World. From as young an age as I can remember, my summers were spent in this magical place with my parents and brother and as I grew up I continued to spend countless holidays and celebrations in my favorite place. Once I met my husband, Disney trips became our tradition and the love has only expanded as our family has! Disney holds a special place in my heart. Not just for the fun we have each time we go, but for the amazing memories I have from every single part of my life.
Today, I am feeling thankful. I am feeling amazed that I can do what I am doing. I started this blog 2.5 years ago as a place to share my love for life and to help me find the beauty in the chaos of motherhood & I hoped that it would inspire others along the way. I never meant for this to be a diary and be all about me, so I have never really just sat down and wrote my mind and heart as if I’m talking to my friends. Over these last few years though, I have made SO many new friends and now I know who it is that is reading my blog. I get to chat with you, laugh with you, and share ideas with you. I hope you’re excited for me to share a little bit more personal pieces of my heart on here with you in a new series that will be totally random and come up when I have the urge to just chat.
There are a lot of fashion must-haves & girl codes out there. Trends to follow, styles you should splurge on, and the all-coveted little black dress rule! Ever since I can remember, having a LBD has been something instilled in women. Find the perfect one for you & you can never go wrong. I personally always struggled with finding the one that I knew would be my closet go-to.
It’s been a little over 4 months now! I cannot believe it. If you are just stumbling onto my blog let me fill you in. 4 months ago, we left our home, sold everything that didn’t fit in an RV, and started a life of travel. It was a crazy idea & we had no experience ever pulling a trailer or living away from Florida but we knew that it was a dream we wanted to accomplish. We made it happen and we couldn’t be more thrilled that we did. It has been an adventure – filled with precious memories with our kids, amazing new relationships built with friends around the country, and new zip codes we can check off the map!
