Explore: Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate
Staying in Orlando is one of my family’s very favorite getaways! My boys love the excitement & the joy of the theme parks so we are always eager to get back to the area. Another one of our favorite things to do as a family is explore new resorts that we have not yet been to. As we travel, we get asked a lot about the best places to stay that are kid friendly and that are worth the booking. No vacation has more curious minds than those who are planning a Disney World vacation! We absolutely love chatting about our best tips and tricks and I am excited to add our new favorite resort to that list – the beautiful Omni Resort at Champions Gate!
Thank you so much for hosting us, Omni! We had the best time!
From the moment you arrive, you not only realize how close to all the Orlando action you are (within 10-15 minutes of all the fun!) but you feel like you are hours apart from the hustle and bustle. I was amazed at how peaceful, serene, and set back this resort felt even though we never had longer than a few minutes in the car to get to all the wonderful Disney locations we had planned. The location could not be more ideal & for the parents who want a little more upscale, class, and serenity, this is absolutely for you.
Omni Orlando did something that is hard to do. They have mastered the art at making a resort equally adult & kid friendly! There is so much to do, no matter who you are, what age you are, or who is in your group. From the expansive pools, to the restaurants, to the golf courses – no one is ever left out of the action.
We checked in with the lovely Wendy who was nothing short of gracious, welcoming, and accommodating! In fact, every employee we came in contact with was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for us on more than one occasion. The lobby was flawless and I loved every bit of staying at a resort that felt like I was walking into a spa getaway. That being said, there were kids everywhere and never once did we feel like the children were a burden to the resort – they loved chatting with Ryland and Landon and making sure they were taken care of as well. As we took a walk to explore the resort our first night there, Ryland tripped outside on the sidewalk. Within 20 minutes an employee came with a bandaid and fresh cookies and milk for both the kids – it was that attention to detail and great customer service that has me so in love with this amazing resort.
Upon entering, the beauty of the resort is obvious – but what you cannot see at first glance are the rooms. I am always excited to see new resort rooms, because to me, there should be nothing more relaxing than a hotel stay! I am a sucker for comfortable beds, spacious rooms, bathtubs, and great views (aren’t we all!?) and Omni did not disappoint! In fact, I am not sure we have stayed in a more inviting room before. I repeated it to myself the entire stay – “I would live here if I could.” But since I sadly cannot, I did take some mental notes about the aspects of the room that I loved so much!
For starters, the room had it’s own living area and sleeping area – with the bathroom and the kitchen space as a divider. This was great, especially for nap time and winding down at night because there was even 2 TV’s. Adults got one and the kiddos got another! Next, the bathroom was like that of my dreams. SO BEAUTIFUL – I will let the photos do the explaining there. Lastly, the bedroom had a beautiful view of the golf course which was a fabulous scene to wake up to each morning in some of the comfiest beds ever!
Now, if you can get yourself to leave the room (which is definitely hard to do!) then you have so much to explore!! This resort was jam packed with fun activities. We absolutely loved the pools. There are multiple pools on the property & there is even Orlando’s only WAVE POOL in a resort! I mean, come on! People spend their days heading to water parks in the area for that very reason but at Omni, you won’t even have to leave the premises. After we checked out the adult pool with an awesome slide, we jumped into the lazy river. This was so serene and so fun! Landon couldn’t get enough of floating around in the tubes. In case you were wondering what to pack, no need to bring the kid’s floats because Omni has complimentary life jackets for all sizes as well! Another perk! We thought we had seen all the pools, until we realized there was another in the back – a kid’s pool!! It was perfect for my boys. The deepest part of the pool is only 2 feet deep and there are 3 large slides that you can easily fit down with your kids (in case they need some extra assistance!) Every part of the water area was thoroughly though out for families & we were so thankful for that!
With multiple restaurants on property, we definitely did not have time to try them all during this 2 night stay but we did get to dine at Trevi’s and I can say that this comes highly recommended from all of us. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING! I mean, there was everything from omelets, to french toast, to fruit, to pastries, bacon – eggs – sausage, and everything else you could imagine! There were yogurt parfaits and every topping for your toast – honey, nutella, jams… it was a foodies dream! After breakfast we tried out their mini golf adventure course – which is located right alongside their large professional golf course – and is a tiny replica, which I thought was adorable. The detail here is par none!
I am already planning our summer vacation to Orlando & I am really eager to stay here again! It was the absolute perfect family resort – with everything you need from the young to the old with a staff that cannot be matched! Thank you Omni for the excellent service and pristine resort – you are already missed!!
Have you stayed at Championsgate before or are you planning a trip for the future? I would love to hear from you!
