The Lodge at Camp Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge
Island Chill in the Smokies is what they say and that could not be more true! We are totally in love with the Margaritaville resorts, and for good reason. This chain of hotels KNOWS how to host a family – they are always beautiful. comfortable, roomy, fun, and accommodating for guests of all ages. We have stayed in quite a few of them over the years, but this was our first trip to the new Lodge at Camp Margaritaville Resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! We were just as blown away at this spot as we have been at any of the others – but The Lodge hosts some pretty amazing features that I definitely need to share. Let’s dive on into our stay!
We had a beautiful 2 Queen Bed Deluxe Family Room, which gave us 2 queens beds in the main sleeping area, and also a small kids room with 2 twin beds. This kids area just makes the whole experience even more fun because it makes it feel like they are in their own little tent – with fireflies flickering in the ceiling and all! There is a large TV in the main sleeping space and also one in the kid’s room – perfect for large families. Our room also had a small refrigerator, a microwave, a Keurig, plenty of counter space, and a large shower and bath area. There was no shortage of space here – it was incredibly roomy and even our family of 6 never felt cramped at all!
The decor at Camp Margaritaville was top notch as well. Of course, it feels very coastal and bright and fun, but with so many fun touches of the Smoky Mountains so you will always remember exactly where you are at as well. In fact, one of my favorite aspects of the resort was the massive stone fireplace in the lobby that we sat by each night and the absolutely phenomenal view of the mountains that you have from the windows in the rooms and from the pool!
Our kids could not get to the pool quick enough! It was the perfect way to spend a few hours each day. The pool is heated to 82 degrees, so even with some chilly mountain air, it felt perfect to be playing. Their pool is definitely made with families in mind, with a palm tree sprayer, a large slide, a hot tub, and a zero-entry pool made it fun for all my kids, even the baby! We loved getting to hangout by the fire pits on the pool deck and even enjoy some coffee from their camp store. There is also a bar and a restaurant as well – so you never have to leave if you don’t want to (and trust me, you won’t want to!)
We had a blast staying in the beautiful rooms they offer, but we also are planning a trip up where we can bring our camper. In addition to this being just a lodge, Camp Margaritaville is also an RV park – and an awesome one at that! You get access to all the amazing amenities of the resort, but can camp in your own rig. It’s really a great spot to choose if you are coming to the Pigeon Forge or Smoky Mountain areas!
