The Power of Learning Through Play
As a mom, I am sure you know that amazing feeling of watching your kids learn valuable information, facts, and skills, all just while PLAYING. It’s personally my favorite way for my kids to make connections in their learning because they think they are just having FUN and it makes it the best time for us all. I love finding ways to allow my kids to learn through playing & I am really excited about these TinkerActive Workbooks that do just that! Ryland just started Kindergarten about 2 weeks ago, and we have been spending a lot of time in these workbooks. They are something special and if you are homeschooling, or maybe just looking for some extra practice in science or math, then these are definitely for you.

TinkerActive books are available in K-12 and we already have picked them up for up to grade 2. I definitely going to make these a staple in our home for all 3 of my boys as they grow! I have seen the benefits in just a few weeks & that’s how I know they are going to stand the test of time. We have tried out countless workbooks in the past & these are truly age appropriate, but at the same time the lessons build on top pf each other making it challenging – in the best way. I also love how TinkerActive incorporates projects and experiments into the books. Every few pages, there are interactive tinkering, making, and engineering projects, making it hands on and the lesson come alive.
In one of the first lessons, we created some paddles out of paper plates and popsicle sticks, blew up a balloon, and played some “tennis” which was a great time! Ryland has a great time when he gets to take what he has learned and create something with his own two hands. The engagement has been awesome and I can see his love of learning flourish. These are a great choice for supplemental learning, whether you are homeschooling like us, or whether you just want some extra STEM practice on school breaks, during the summer, on vacation, & more!
Don’t just take my word for it. I personally love how they explain their workbooks: ”With its focus on tinkering, making, and engineering, these workbooks equip the youngest readers with essential STEM knowledge and skills, while teaching critical ways to engage with and explore the world.” It doesn’t get much better than that! I have watched as Ryland’s face lights up when we take out the workbooks and he gets to explore with the MotMot’s. These cute little characters are part of the joy of the program and with the friendly, fuzzy creatures of all shapes and sizes, guiding Ryland through each skill and project, makes it totally fun and effective.
TinkerActive Workbooks can be purchased wherever books are sold (typically for $12.99). If you purchase on Amazon, be sure to leave a review!
